Bobbi Lane BIO
Bobbi Lane is a commercial, editorial and corporate photographer. Lane’s multi-faceted approach to photography incorporates over 30 years of technical experience with innovative artistic interpretation. Lane shoots primarily people on location for corporate and advertising accounts as well as photographing “real people” and travel for stock.

An award winning photographer, Lane has worked on many special projects including “Indian Renaissance” for the India Tourist Board as well as landing the contract for photographing the Space Station Proposal for NASA through McDonnell/Douglas. Represented by Getty, her stock photography has sold worldwide for ads, posters, and billboards. Her clients include: Aramco, Warner Bros., Samsung, Bose Corp., Ridgefield Magazine, Neutrogena, Morro Bay Natural History Museum, Boots Cosmetics, Ricon, Farmer’s Insurance, Maui Music Festival, Sears Tower’s Skydeck, World Trade Tower’s Top of the World, and GTE.

Her articles and photographs have appeared in Photo Techniques, Petersen’s Photographic, and Outdoor Photographer. Bobbi's book, "Creative Techniques for Color Photography" is published by Amherst Media and available in bookstores and online.

Bobbi created two one-hour instructional DVD, "Portrait Lighting Techniques" and "Portraits Unplugged" with Calumet. These information packed DVDs include shooting a model and demonstrating lighting patterns, quality of light, posing, working iwht reflectors and diffusers, and balancing strobe and ambient light. Photo Educator
As a teacher on the regional, national and international level, she brings insight and enthusiasm to her hundreds of students. Lane’s excellent rapport communication with her students inspires and motivates while her straight-forward teaching style reaches students of many different skill levels. Lane, a primary photography instructor for UCLA Extension for 15 years, was honored as the 1995 and 1998 Outstanding Teacher for Visual Arts. This is her 11th year teaching for both the Santa Fe Workshops and the sixth year teaching for the Maine Workshops. She regularly leads seminars at Photo Plus East, the largest photo show in North America, held every year at the Javits Center in New York City. In honor of Advertising Photographers of America's 25th Anniversary, they gave six special recognition awards, and Bobbi proudly received the Education Award.
 
Workshops
Bobbi leads one-week professional photography workshops at the Santa Fe, Maine, Sundance and Julia Dean Workshops. The Bobbi Lane Workshops, held in Fairfield, CT and NYC cover a variety of subjects. She teaches for the International Center of Photography in NYC and leads her own private workshops in both Connecticut and NYC. This is her 11th year teaching for the Santa Fe Workshops and the sixth year teaching for the Maine Workshops. She regularly leads seminars at Photo Plus East, the largest photo show in North America, held every year at the Javits Center in New York City.
